Today we listened to "The Golden Egg Book" story by
Margaret Wise Brown. It is about a bunny that finds an egg and
wonders what is on the inside. We colored a bunny picture, cut it
into six squares and tried to put the puzzle back together.
Around 9 AM our teacher, Mrs. Frontera, was called on the phone.
She had to leave because her daughter was very sick.
During the afternoon, our substitute teacher's name was Mrs.
Andrade. We watched "The Velveteen Rabbit" video and
then we rotated at theclassroom's learning centers. Rubi and
Edith painted at the easel. Other students watched Beatrix Potter
"Peter the rabbit" filmstrip on our projector. We
listened to "Pedrito el conejo" (its Spanish version)
yesterday.
Carlos was a big help today. Even though we forgot to sing our
good-bye song, we remembered to take home our survey of "how
many minutes we take to walk to school from home," for our
parents to fill out.
