The Brixton Connections project involves 15 primary schools in the Brixton City
Challenge area and is funded by Brixton Challenge. Each school is receiving a multimedia
computer, a V34 modem, a colour printer and a connection to the Internet allowing them to
communicate with secondary schools and primary schools both locally and throughout the
world. The project begins in the latter half of the Summer term 1995 and is expected to
continue for three years. Schools will concentrate on Electronic Mail and the World Wide
Web initially although they have the potential to widen their use of the Internet at a
later stage.
